UnconventionalFaith Week 2 – Weightloss Chronicles
By CocoaDiva on Sep 03, 2009 with Comments
Honestly, this past week was not off to a great start for me. I am studying for a highly stressful exam (MCAT), which Iam taking soon (wish me luck!). So, to cut a long story short, I did not stick to my diet plan.
I am not trying to use this as an excuse, but really, who is able to tell me that they can concentrate on their food intake, when they are about to take a life-altering exam (not exaggerating…..seriously, google the MCAT exam!). I know this may lead you to thinking why I am doing this. Well, to answer that, I can only tell you that I thought I could handle it, but I couldn’t. So, as a result, my weight stayed the same, I hit the dollar menu more than once (cheap and easy)and I did not exercise (was too tired to get up early in the morning, stayed in the library till midnight).
Though my first blog entry is not a screaming ’success’. I am not discouraged because if something does not work for me, I try something different. So, since I will be buried in the books all day, every day for the next week, I have forced myself to prepare a simple enough diet that I can stick to for the week.
It will look like this:
Breakfast: 1 egg (scrambled or omelette), 2 slices of toast with honey, 1 cup coffee, Half a grapefruit.
or
1 bowl oatmeal and half a grapefruit.
Lunch: Whole grapefruit, 1 granola bar.
Dinner: Chicken salad wrap or Baked chicken breast with 1 cup of cooked rice.
Snacks: Fruits, carrots
Trust me, I am not starving myself, this is what I believe will work for me.
Good luck to all the dieters!!!
