Starting Over Week 3 Weightloss Chronicles

As the week started again, I decided that I wanted to start Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred again. I got off to a great start. I followed the Shred for four days straight. I started on Monday and went up to Thursday. I felt good about doing my workout because I loved the thrill of getting back into exercise. One thing is certain though: That workout KICKS. YOUR. BUTT. When I was in high school, we had to go jumping jacks for indefinite periods of time. If we didn’t do them right the first time (according to our instructor), we had to start over. Back then, I don’t remember ever being so winded. Now, I want to box Jillian for making do so many jumping jacks! Let’s not even talk about the “jump rope.” I don’t know if jumping rope makes me winded or the mere thought of jumping without a rope wears me out. What girl didn’t jump rope for hours on end when she was younger? I still can get into it… when I have a rope. I think my mind is playing tricks on me. It is not feeling the idea of jumping for the hell of it!  As an added bonus, I threw in Turbo Jam’s 20 minute workout on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday! YES!! It got off to a slow start, but once I got in the groove again, I loved it. I did Turbo Jam to warm up and get my heart pumping. Then I popped in 30DS. The jumping jacks and phony jump rope routine got a little bit easier since I had already done some cardio. Turbo Jam is a great workout because it’s fun and not as “boot camp” as 30DS. Also, you have a few “real” people in the Turbo Jam video. As a side note, that’s why I want to get the Biggest Loser DVDs. The videos feature real people that are exercising. I get a little bit intimidated by watching super fit people work out. Of course THEY can do the entire video without breaking a sweat! I need to see some folks that look just as tired as I am!Anyway, I spent the latter part of the week packing and preparing for travel, so I didn’t do much exercise, unless I can count spending HOURS packing and repacking my possessions into a duffel bag! Just to give you an idea, when I got to airport, my bag was 50 pounds on the dot! Whew! I had to pack the bag, unpack the bag, repack the bag, flip the bag, stand on the bag, smash the bag, and drag the bag… only to still have to leave a few items behind because they just couldn’t fit. Thankfully I did leave some stuff behind because I made it in at precisely 50 pounds. It was workout enough
trying to carry a 50 pound duffel WITH a 15 pound carry-on, a few books AND my purse! That’s what I call heavy lifting! My arms… and back, legs, and neck… were hurting by the time I made it to my gate, but I was able to relax on the flight. I did get a pack of Biscoff cookies during my flight and savored them, as it would be the last time I had them. I don’t know if I’ll be traveling again soon, but I did say I wouldn’t buy them for home anymore. I lost my mind when those cookies were in the house! Time for reality again…

Keep up the great work! I heard TJ and 30DS are tough as hell!! I'm so scared to get either one. I've taken a baby step and bought the Biggest Loser Workout Vol. 1 and Biggest Loser Weight Loss Yoga. So far I've only did the yoga but that junk kicked my butt! If you get them, please let us know what you think.
