MagnoliaGirl Week 2 Weightloss Chronicles

I ate cake…a lot of cake.
This week I tested Weight Watchers in celebration mode. I attend meetings on Wednesdays, so my WW week starts on Wednesday. This is a run-down of my week and the result.
Wednesday August 19th – Good weigh-in. Normally I go to a wine tasting at an Italian restaurant on Wednesdays but my first adult recreational kickball game of the season is at 8:30 so I thought pizza and a wine flight were not a good pre-game dinner. Instead, I had an antipasto salad and raw fries (fresh potato chips). I should have left the raw fries. Not a good idea when guardsmen from various branches of the military are yelling at you to move your booty and stop throwing like a girl. My argument that I am a girl, and that they should not attribute my poor athletic skills solely to my gender fell on deaf ears. I finished the day within my weight watchers points and I got bonus activity points.
Wednesday was the last day of anything that resembled good behavior. Thursday, I went to dinner with my God sister to celebrate our joint birthdays. I made good choices until we made the choice to stroll up to the dessert place and have buttercream with a side of cake, and coffee. That pretty much is the story of my Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I did use all my points, and then some, on buttercream and tequila (those that know me know that for some reason vodka will have me hungover but copious amounts of tequila will get me happy without the morning after effects). That being said, in one week I celebrated my bday, my mom’s bday, several friends’ bdays, and a lovely little girl’s bday and I pretty much refused to be the crazy diet girl during those celebrations.
Final analysis – I ate way off the charts this week for a person attempting to lose weight. I did notice that I made some good choices. In weight loss attempts past, I would have gone ahead and made all my food choices bad because I was making some bad choices. I ended up taking .8 off this week. The past two weeks have been out of the ordinary. When I’m off the road and not celebrating, I hope to make my average weight loss/week between 1.5 and 2 lbs. Fingers crossed and butt moving a little more this week.
