Get Off Your Lazy Ass! - I wrote this post for everyone, including myself.  I admit I have been a slacker the last few weeks. I was not hitting the gym like I should be to lose my last 20 pounds.  I noticed I follow a pattern.  Once I stop exercising my inner fat girl starts screaming and stomping her feet “Eat all the Thin Mints, pizza, and bread you want!  Tomorrow is another day!” <insert evil  laugh and thunder clap.>  That heifer is a piece of work!!

African Americans can all be overweight by 2048 - The Today Show reports  If the trends of the past three decades continue, it’s possible that every American adult could be overweight 40 years from now, based up on figures collected and published in the journal Obesity, from government survey data collected between the 1970s and 2004.

Portion Control: Retrain your mind - My mother always said leave some manners on your plate. Sometimes, that is a little hard to do because everything looks so good when you are hungry. Americans have increased portion sizes up to 2-3 times than what is really needed for digestion.

Here are some examples of what your portion size should really be.

Real Men…Do Yoga - The male ego can sometimes be a good thing, driving us to succeed in our careers, to excel in athletic competition, etc. But, with a few exceptions, this ego creates more problems than not. And no where else is this more evident than on the yoga mat. Well, yoga is hard.
