10 Things Every Woman Should Know About John McCain and Sarah Palin

Just a few facts I received from Planned Parenthood while at an Obama ralley.  It can’t hurt to be informed.

1.  John McCain opposes equal pay legislation, saying it wouldn’t do “anything to help the rights of women.”

2. McCain opposes requiring health care plans to cover prescription birth control.

3. John McCain opposes commom sense funding to prevent unintended teen pregnancies.

4. John McCain and Sarah Palin oppose comprehenive medically accurate sex education.

5.  John McCain and Sarah Palin want to tax health care benefitsfor the first time in history.

6. John McCain opposes  restoring family planning services for low income women

7. Sarah Palin opposes abortion in the case of rape and incest.

8. John McCain voted against the Violence Against Women Act, which ensures rape victims are not charge for the emergency medial exams used to prosecute their attackers.  While Sarah Palin was Mayor of Wasilla, rape victims were force to pay for these exams which cost up to $1,200.

9. When asked whether contraceptives help stop the spread of HIV , Johm McCain said he was “stupmped.”

10. In his 25 years in Washington D.C., John McCain has voted against women’s reproductive rights and privacy 125 times.
